    Mission Statement

The Ohio Chapter of the ASLA Climate Action and Biodiversity Committee's mission is to increase awareness of the growing issues related to climate change and its projected impacts on our local economy, environment, and quality of life. We seek to provide landscape architects with the resources and education needed to implement the ASLA Climate Action Plan, enhance Ohio’s native ecosystems, mitigate climate change impacts, and foster sustainable practices that benefit both our communities and the environment.

    Goals

    • Resource Development and Education: Provide landscape architects with the tools and knowledge to engage confidently in climate action initiatives.

    • Local Application of Best Practices: Help landscape architects in Ohio integrate sustainable design principles that restore native ecosystems and enhance biodiversity.

    • Community Engagement and Collaboration: Create a platform for Ohio landscape architects to learn from each other and collaborate with experts on climate action topics, ensuring equitable and effective responses to climate challenges.
